蓝调基金会终于敞开蓝调名人堂的大门。这座令人期待已久的建筑坐落于孟菲斯市中心South Main 大道421 号，正对着国家民权博物馆和Lorraine 旅馆，正是Martin Luther King Jr遇刺身亡的地方。此次开放正逢第36 届一年一度的蓝调音乐颁奖典礼之际，典礼定于五月七日于Cook Convention Center 举行。
蓝调音乐颁奖典礼获奖者包括Keb’Mo’获奖作品为其2014 年发行的专辑BLUESAmericana (Kind of Blue Music)；歌手兼吉他手Ruthie Foster， 获得Koko Taylor 大奖最佳传统蓝调女艺人；以及民谣蓝调艺人John Hammond， 凭借其专辑Timeless (Palmetto) 获得最佳原声专辑和最佳原声艺人分类两项大奖。
